God Is Good

My bio below mentions that I have been serving on the praise team and choir at my church, Ray of Hope Christian Church, for the past several years.  As a matter of fact, I have been a member of the choir since February 2002 and the praise team since November 2002.  It's hard to believe that it's been almost 8 years, because the years have truly flown by. "The Ray," as we affectionately call our church, has been one of my favorite places since I joined in July 2001.  My pastor, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Hale, is a nurturing and awesome women of God who preaches powerfully and is an wonderful example of how to live with joy and integrity.  I love her so much!

We just ended our Winter Revival and it was truly a blessing.  Today, in particular we culminated the revival with our Ash Wednesday liturgy blended in as well.  As I type, I'm thinking about what this blog should be about...  I was thinking it could be a blog about the different praise and worship songs we sang but then I kind of went on another tangent... At any rate, here is a list of what we sang for praise and worship this evening:

From 2003-05, Shayla sang with and recorded a debut CD as a member of the gospel group, Chris Brunson & Friends. For the last several years, Shayla has devoted herself to singing as a member of the Ray of Hope Christian Church Praise Team and Voices of Hope leading classic songs such as “Order My Steps”, “He Decided to Die”, “Via Dolorosa” and “My Tribute (To God Be the Glory).” Currently, Shayla is in demand as a soloist and background vocalist at various venues throughout the Atlanta area.
